Uncle Sams Diner is a privately owned American restaurant in Sheffield, with a wide and varied menu. We take enormous pride in offering you delicious food, together with fast and friendly service. We welcome families, couples and large parties.
Come and see our miniature train, which runs around the restaurant, while enjoying a burger topped with our famous white cheese sauce. We even offer a takeaway service, so you can enjoy your favourite meal at home.
We have been situated on Ecclesall Road since July 4th 1971, which is why we are, and will always be, 'the original and the best'.
Uncle Sam’s has been part of my family’s special occasions since I was a toddler. My kids have grown up loving their regular visits, fascinated with the train track ( as was I !). Plus, of course, their secret addiction to the cheese sauce!!!

My kids hadn't been here before and it was amazing. We were initially cautious being so close to the university campus but no need. The seating is very spacious, the staff really polite and helpful. One of our party is lactose intolerant and the staff were really knowledgeable about what she could have. The food was superb, tasty, freshly cooked, presented to its best.
Joy of joys, my daughter could have the apple pie (gluten-free). Overall, a gem of a place!
Fantastic meal yet again. Burgers are proper ground beef. Been coming here for 40 years. Friendly staff. Always giving a smile. You can't beat Uncle Sam's!
